Terms of Use

1. The service

Mini Minders is a directory of registered childcare providers in Ireland. Listings may include Tusla registration and inspection information, alongside ECCE/NCS scheme participation information where available from Tusla sources or user submissions. The site is provided for information only; it is not a booking platform, vetting service or endorsement.

2. Accounts and provider approval

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and provide accurate information. Accounts have limited access until the email address is verified.

Users who submit their own childcare listings, including schools and childminders, must receive administrative approval before their listings are published. This approval is a review of the submitted listing and does not constitute an inspection, certification or guarantee of the provider.

Listings obtained directly from Tusla are managed separately from user-submitted listings.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out through your account. You must not misrepresent your identity or claim to represent a childcare service without authority.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with a childcare provider.
• Upload unlawful, defamatory or inappropriate content or photographs.
• Scrape, bulk-download or reproduce listing data at scale.
• Interfere with the site's operation or attempt unauthorised access.
• Use the site for spam, marketing or any unlawful purpose.

We may remove listings or content that breach these terms or require review, and we may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.

4. Website content

The Mini Minders name, branding and website design belong to Mini Minders. We also claim rights in our original directory compilation and presentation to the extent permitted by law. Official source records remain subject to the rights and terms applicable to their respective sources.

You may browse and use the directory for personal, non-commercial purposes, and you must not reproduce substantial portions of the directory without permission.

5. Content submitted by users

Providers are responsible for the information, descriptions and photographs they submit to Mini Minders. You must ensure that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit your content and allow it to be displayed on your listing.

By submitting content, you grant Mini Minders a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store and display that content as part of the relevant directory listing or profile. This licence is limited to operating and presenting the Mini Minders directory and does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

Photographs must not contain identifiable children unless the person submitting them has the necessary authority and appropriate parental or guardian consent. Providers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any required permissions. Mini Minders may remove photographs where these requirements appear not to have been met or where a concern is reported.

Mini Minders displays submitted content as part of the directory and does not claim ownership of it. We do not routinely edit or independently verify submitted photographs or descriptions.

We may remove content following a request, where there is a credible concern about rights or permissions, or where content is unlawful or otherwise breaches these terms.

If you believe a listing is inaccurate, should be corrected or removed, or contains a photograph or other content that raises a privacy, consent or rights concern, contact privacy@miniminders.ie. We will review reports and respond promptly, taking appropriate action where necessary.

6. Changes and termination

We may update these terms or the service itself; material changes will be flagged on the site. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts for breach of these terms.

7. Information and liability

Mini Minders provides a directory to help users find childcare services. Some listing information is obtained directly from publicly available Tusla records, while other information is submitted by providers or users.

Official records and provider-submitted information may change, contain errors or become outdated. Although we may review listings and correct reported errors, we do not guarantee that all information is complete, current or error-free.

Mini Minders does not operate childcare services, supervise providers or arrange childcare. Users should contact providers directly and consult official sources where they need to confirm registration or inspection information.

To the extent permitted by law, Mini Minders is not responsible for the independent conduct of childcare providers or for decisions made solely in reliance on directory information. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted, or any statutory consumer rights that apply.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts where permitted by applicable law.
